Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Thus we chinese people always take our time eating our morning tea. It usually lasts for more than 1 hour. ( Well, if we don’t have to work afterwards…) During my stay in China I the pleasure to eat moring tea with my family. It was on my uncle’s birthday, which is also the day of the mid autumn festival. All of my cousins came back to the hometown and we went to the local hotel restaurant. There was all kind of food, like hagao, shumai, chicken feet, xiaolongbao noodle and so on. Too bad I can’t find any picture of the food . TT^TT
Anyways to the reason, why I’m writing this post:
My friend T’s exam week was over, thus we decided to have brunch together. Okay… it was mine decision and I kind of forced my friend to eat those dishes with me. She originally wanted to eat the special menu (2 dishes + 1 soup, you also can see it as lunch). But I showed her the ‘breakfast’ menu and we ordered:
- 雪菜面 – xuecaimian: noodle soup with pickled vegetables with meat
- 青田饼 – qingtianbing: chinese pancake
- 豆浆 – doujiang: Soybean milk
- 茶叶蛋 – chayedan: tea egg
- 小笼包 – xiaolongbao: soup dumpling
- 皮蛋瘦肉粥 – pidanshourouzhou: Century egg and pork congee
- 油条 – youtiao: Deep-fried dough sticks (not in the pic, since we realise that we didn’t took a picture of the food after we ate it)
- we also wanted to eat 粽子 – zongzi: glutinous rice with filling wrapped inside a leaf, but they didn’t have it on that day.

I wanted to eat more dishes but since we were only 2 people, thus this was enough.
(T: “It was more than enough!”)
Well, that’s it. I just wanted to show you guys, what we ate yesterday ^^
What’s it that makes a man fall in love with a woman at first sight?
